The traditional fishing village of Agios Stefanos is a quaint resort, set within the arms of a peaceful bay. Agios Stephanos or Agios Stefanos (Sinion) is a typical traditional fishing village, which lies on Corfu’s Northeast coast, surrounded by the tree-clad slopes of the hills, the crystal waters of the Ionian Sea and the idyllic sight of the harbour with the fishing boats. Agios Stephanos is situated on the Northeast coast of Corfu Island between Kerasia and Kassiopi, almost directly opposite from the other San Stephanos on the west side of Corfu, located between Sidari and Arillas.

 

Agios Stephanos is 35 km from Corfu Town and just 3 km from renowned Kassiopi. It is also near to Sinies and for reasons of accuracy, it is called Agios Stephanos Sinion in order to avoid the confusion between the two Agios Stephanos villages. Agios Stephanos is a peaceful village and established as one of the first-class resorts of Corfu Island. The majority of the accommodation is based in luxurious villas and high standard of complexes with private swimming pools. The resort is ideal for all kind of people who love the tranquility of a traditional Corfiot village: relaxing holidays for families, couples and romantic atmosphere set amongst stunning scenery.

 

There is a pebbly clean beach on the left side of the bay. Sun beds and umbrellas are also available. The resort of Agios Stephanos covers all the facilities for a privileged holiday. There are four tavernas, all ideally located on the harbour front, offering Greek traditional cuisine. Two bars, two mini markets, tourist shops, a tourist office for money exchange, public telephone and a post box.

 

The visitors can easily park in the San Stefanos car park. The village of Agios Stephanos is away from the main road (approx. ½ hour walking distance). There the buses pass regularly on the way to Kassiopi or Corfu Town. Car hire is useful for your local transportation, as you will find most of the accommodation located on the surrounding hills of the San Stephanos bay. It is also necessary for exploring the picturesque villages and the beautiful unspoiled beaches around the area.
